Hello, Calvin here again.
 

Business/career managers have been meeting and exchanging business cards (and business ideas) for many decades. Usually taking the form of a business breakfast or a meeting at the office.

So I have come to realize early on (since around 2010) that Social Media is an extention of that concept of interacting with like-minded people. Would you agree? 

Facebook especially (social media: including Instagram, YouTube and Whatsapp Status) works best when integrated with my business website where the full content can be stored on a page to be viewed at any time. 

Example: I have a page on my website which has a Facebook icon & link which has all the detailed info I want to share this week to my business clients and friends (including photos and/or video clips).

Then, from my personal Facebook home profile, I post snippets of my content and direct friends to my website with a link so they can view the entire news content which I can share with everybody- known on social media in terms as: my community; my followers; my network members or simply, my group.

My network group of regulars who are interested in my business views and/or updates can now view my post from their cell phone when they log onto their Facebook home-page.  

Now the opportunity arises for them to: 

1. Go to my website , and get the full content details
2. Interact with me by leaving a comment
3. Pass this helpful or interesting info on to their own group of like-minded friends

The result:

Useful, valuable information is shared and in this way we all support each other in our own small way whether via making use of each others offers or spreading awareness of trusted products or just to always stay in touch and say hello.
